Minister unveils renewable energy plans aimed at boosting agriculture

Ardabil - The Agriculture Minister has declared a firm government commitment to streamline land allocation and import of solar panels, indicating a resolute push to strengthen Iran's agricultural industry.
Speaking to entrepreneurs in Ardabil province, Gholamreza Nouri underscored the region's considerable agricultural potential and detailed the government's strategy to resolve persistent challenges. “These include securing crucial water rights, implementing currency policy reforms, dismantling obstacles to production, simplifying land transfers, expanding export opportunities, and strengthening regional partnerships.”
During his address, Nouri acknowledged the hard work of agricultural professionals, saying, "We appreciate the dedication of all those active in agriculture; Ardabil is a region ripe for advancement."
In a significant push towards sustainable agriculture, the Minister revealed plans to expedite the allocation of national land for the development of solar power plants within the next month.
“This initiative aims to promote renewable energy adoption within the farming community.”
Looking towards international trade, Nouri announced the upcoming establishment of a joint border terminal with Russia, emphasizing that this route handles the majority of Iran's exports to the Russian Federation.
He also noted the growing interest of several Russian financial institutions and corporations in investing within the region.
